Our photography courses develop both the practical creative and technical skills needed in the creation of photographic imagery and the knowledge and ability required for post-production editing.

They cover both themes underpinning photographic practice and key business knowledge for those aspiring to launch their own freelance photography business.

You will work on live client briefs, producing advertising stills for commercial clients and working with models to produce portfolios, using our state- of-the-art photography studios, camera equipment, post-production software and dark room.

Your work will be exhibited in the annual photography festival, published on our online photography website gallery and entered for national and global competitions.

You will also enjoy opportunities to support other departments within the college, such as fashion, media make-up and music to gain experience as you build your portfolio of work.

Recently photography students gained work experience at the matchday between Rotherham Titans and Sheffield Tigers, creating a 10-minute show reel and adding shots to their portfolios.
